The Hartford Civic Center, is a sports and convention compound located in Hartford, Connecticut.
It is the home to the hockey team of Hartford Wolf Pack AHL and part-time home of the University men's and women's basketball teams of Connecticut. In the past it had been the home of the New England Sea Wolves (the Arena Football League), the Hartford Whalers (NHL) 1979-1997 and the New England Blizzard (ABL) 1996-1998.
The coliseum has been hosting the Boston Celtics home games from 1975-1995 occasionally and other events such as trade shows, conventions, concerts, circuses, ice shows etc.
The Center was also the host of the 1982 Big East Conference and 1988-1990 America East Conference men's basketball tournaments. Moreover, the Big East Conference women's basketball tournament 2009 is already contracted to it.
As far as wrestling is concerned the WWE's Wrestle Mania XI, the Survivor Series 1990, WWE No Way Out 2000 and WWE Vengeance 2004 were all held here.
The arena has the capacity of 15,635 for ice hockey, 16,294 for basketball, 16,606 for center-stage concerts, and 16,282 for end-stage concerts.
