Madison Square Garden, has been the name of four sports ground in New York City, United States; the first two being located at Madison Square, one at 50th Street and 8th Avenue, and the current Garden at 7th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets.
The present Garden is known as the home of the professional sports teams of the NBA and the NHL. It has also hosted the Democratic National Conventions in the years1976, 1980 and 1992. World Wrestling Entertainment has held WrestleManias (3 so far), Summerslams (3), Survivor Series (2), and the 2000 Royal Rumble in the arena.
Madison Square Garden is also known for hosting famous boxing bouts in the past and is a popular venue for most music concerts in New York.
Several other events, such as Tennis, Circus, Award ceremonies etc. also take place in the arena.
