The New Yankee Stadium is the future home ground for the New York Yankees , a Major League Baseball team. At present all the matches played by the team are held at the Yankee Stadium . Construction of the New Yankee Stadium was started in 2006. The new stadium is going to be situated at Bronx in the New York City. After the completion of the construction of this new stadium, the old stadium will be completely dismantled. The old Yankee Stadium has been serving as the home ground for the team since 1923. The New Yankee Stadium is being established at a place adjacent to the old stadium. The New Yankee Stadium is scheduled to be inaugurated in 2009. The stadium compound will also home a hotel, conference center and a high school for sports training programs.
Owned by the New York Yankees , the New Yankee Stadium will have a capacity of 51,800 spectators. The new stadium is being designed by the HOK Sport . The seating arrangement at the New Yankee Stadium is going to be designed in an outward bowl structure. The exterior of the new stadium will be designed in the same way as the old Yankee Stadium. In the stadium, there will be 60 luxury boxes. This open air stadium will have a natural grass playfield. Apart from baseball, the stadium is going to host many other events.
