Hammond Stadium is located at 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in the Southern part of Fort Myers of Florida in the United States of America. The stadium homes a baseball field, where spring training season of the Minnesota Twins is held. The stadium is also the home ground of the Fort Myers Miracle , the baseball team of the Florida State League . The stadium, functional since 1991, has a seating capacity of 7,500 spectators. Located 9 miles away from the Southwest Florida International Airport, the stadium is easily reachable. Hammond stadium is a part of the Lee County Sports Complex . Apart from the Stadium , the Lee County Sports Complex also encompasses five full and two half-fields, where various baseball events take place. There are also two soccer fields, one softball complex and other athletic facilities in the sports complex.
The centre of the Lee County Sports Complex , Hammond Stadium has been designed by Lescher and Mahoney. In 1994 the stadium has been named after Bill Hammond , the County Commissioner, who played an important role in the construction of the Lee County Sports Complex . The stadium is used for staging different baseball events of both major and minor league teams. The playing surface in the Hammond Stadium is covered with grass. The seating arrangement in the stadium is a single deck ballpark, which is not of latest fashion. The stadium is equipped with all facilities for the visitors.
