Busch Stadium


Busch Stadium , or the New Busch Stadium , as it is also called, has been built to replace the Busch Memorial Stadium and is the home to the National Football League team St. Louis Cardinals . The stadium was built with financial support obtained through private bonds, bank loans, long-term loan from St. Louis County and also by taking financial supports from the team owners. The total cost including that of the Ballpark Village reached approximately $646 million. The construction of the stadium realized the dreams of the St. Louis Cardinals team of owning a stadium.

The Busch Stadium is one of the main stadiums of the United States and is located in St. Louis in Missouri. After finalizing the plans of the stadium in January 2004, the construction was started. It was completed and opened on the 4 th of April in 2006. The stadium whose construction cost touched $346 million has a surface of grass and the architect of the whole stadium was HOK Sport. The Busch Stadium has held a number of important matches including several National League Division Series matches. It also was the host to the World Series games in October, 2006. The stadium joined the list of ballparks in 2006 with the Cardinals winning the World Series in 2006.

The Busch Stadium, named after August Busch , the owner of the team of St. Louis Cardinals, is one of the best stadiums of the United States of America. The stadium has been holding important matches since its opening and is expected to get chances to hold even more vital matches in near future.
