Beaver Stadium is home to the college football team of the Pennsylvania State University namely the Nittany Lions and is conveniently located on the campus of the university itself. Previously known as the New Beaver Field, Beaver Stadium was opened in 1909 but was rebuilt in 1960. Since the days of its opening, the Pennsylvania State University is both the owner and the operator of the stadium.

The stadium has become the second largest stadium in the United States of America and North America. Beaver Stadium acts as a venue for several collegiate athletic events. The first match that was played in this stadium was between Nittany Lions and Grove City. After that several important matches were played in this stadium like the Penn State-Ohio State Clash, NCAA Football games. Mainly college football is played at this stadium.
Seating capacity in Beaver Stadium has been increased with each renovation that has been brought about in the stadium. The seventh and latest renovation in the stadium has increased its seating capacity to a massive 107,282 people. Owing to its huge seat capacity , Beaver Stadium is the sixth largest stadium in the world. Seats are arranged in such fashion so that clear visibility is available from the last tiers of the stadium.
Several other facilities are provided in the Beaver Stadium like escalators, restrooms, expanded upper and lower concourses, upgraded spaces for team, game officials and media and two video replay scoreboards.
