Four South Korean tourists and their Yemeni guide have been killed in an explosion at Al Shibam, a Unesco World Heritage site famed for its mud brick towers.
The blast at Al Shibam, in the southern province of Hadramut also injured three other South Koreans.
Initial reports said that they had been the victim of a suicide bombing. The bomb was very powerful and could be heard more than 2 miles away from the site, in the Al-Qubah District of Al Shibam. A terrorist act cannot be ruled out. No one has claimed responsibility of the blasts.
