Accommodation Amenities at Mara Safari Club

The club offers luxurious tents as accommodation options, which are equipped with a wide array of amenities. All the tents of Mara Safari Club overlook the beautiful Mara River. The tents are facilitated with electricity, four-poster beds, verandah, hot and cold running water and many more.

The total 50 tents of Mara Safari Club are categorized as 42 twin-bedded and 8 double-bedded tents. Out of the 45 standard tents, 5 tents are equipped with sunken baths in the bathrooms and king-size beds. Guests can enjoy the varied flora and fauna of the region from the veranda. Crocodiles and hippos swimming or walking in the Mara River or monkeys sitting on the trees is a common sight in this Resort in Kenya.

There are five Premium Tents in Mara Safari Club Tents. The 2 premium Tents have a king-size bed and 3 Tents have sunken baths in the bathrooms. Between the Premium Tents and the Standard Tents there is a platform, which can be used for game-viewing and private dining. All the tents are provided complimentary water with glasses, insecticide, hand-woven rugs and air-freshener, poster-bed drapes, electric lamps and dressing table. The tents have private bathroom with washbasin, shower stall, flush toilets and solar-heated-hot and cold running water. A flashlight and an umbrella are also provided in each tent. For the convenience of the guests the bathrooms have toiletries like bath gel, Lonrho shampoo, hand and body lotion and freshly laundered towels. There are mosquito gauze and flaps on the windows of the tent.

Facilities Offered by Mara Safari Club

The Mara Safari Club is among the best hotels in Kenya offering various facilities and services. The Club has a dining room is the main building made of wood beams and glass. The high-ceilinged, spacious dining room has sufficient natural light. It can accommodate 120 guests at a time. The menu includes various cuisines including Asian, European and African dishes that are prepared from fresh Kenyan vegetables and fruits. The morning tea, coffee or hot chocolate are served in the tents.

Buffet-style breakfast and lunch are served at the dining hall, while the dinner offers a choice of the main course. For breakfast, the dining room opens from 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m., while the luncheon hours are between 12.30 p.m. and 2.15 p.m. The dinner timing is from 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.

The main building has a lounge beautifully decorated in African flavor, with attractive wall hangings and Maasai artifacts. Various shows like Maasai dance, slide shows and lectures are held.

Recreational activities at Mara Safari Club

The Mara Safari Club offers various recreational and entertainment activities. It is one of the Kenya Resorts that offers different pastime activities like swimming, wildlife videos, slide shows, table games, Masai dances, talk on Masai Culture, library and information center. Some exciting wildlife videos are played in the lounge from approximately 9.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. on alternate days. One can also enjoy the famous Masai dance that is performed in the lounge on every third day from 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. The free-form swimming pool at Mara Safari Club is an ideal place to relax and organize cocktail parties.
