By Air: The Greater Natal International Airport in Sao Goncalo do Amarante, which is 19 miles from Natal, operates some international flights to Lisbon, Milan, Buenos Aires, and several Brazilian cities such as Salvador, Brasilia, and Belo Horizonte.
By Road: Reaching Natal from Ponta Negra is easy as there are direct buses (No. 66) that ply between the two destinations. Buses to and from Fortaleza are run by Viacao Nordeste. It's an eight-hour trip. Every two hours (from 6am to 11pm), buses from Recife leave for Natal.
