Kien Giang River is one of the Vietnam river and is a tributary of Nhat Le River. The Kien Giang River lies in the north Central coast of Vietnam in the Quang Binh Province and originates in the Annamite Range. From this place the river adds numerous streams to it and it starts flowing from the the upper part of the Annamite range. The Kien Giang river in Vietnam is unique as it flows to the northeast whereas other rivers flow to the south east. The river forms a narrow delta in Le Thuy County.
Kien Giang River merges with Long Dai River in the Quang Ninh County and altogether they forms the Nhat Le River. The length of Nhat Le river is 152 km among which Kien Giang River is 58 km long and Long Dai River is 77 km long. The water of Kien Giang River is very transparent and clear and contains a moderate amount of alluvium in it.
The bank of Kien Giang River in Vietnam is very famous as many important Vietnamese politician were born and grew up in this place, namely Nguyen Huu Canh, Vo Nguyen Giap and Ngo Dinh Diem. Thus the Kien Giang river holds a special place among all the Vietnam rivers.
