Venezuela people posit a diversity in their culture, language, tradition and custom. The ethnic population of Venezuela characterizes the diversity of Venezuela land and people. Some of the most important ethnic communities in Venezuela are the Italians, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabs, Germans and the Africans. The languages that is mostly spoken is Spanish, which is also the official language of the country. Some of the other most popular languages comprise indigenous Venezuelan languages.
Approximately 70% of the total population in Venezuela are Roman Catholics, 29% are Protestants and the remaining 1% are either atheists or constitute people following other religious beliefs.

Venezuela is located in the northern end of South America. Its total surface area is larger than the area of the combined landscape of France and Germany. Venezuela is flanked by the Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean Sea in the north, Brazil in the south, Guyana in the east and Columbia stretching both to the west and the southwest. The topography of Venezuela can be divided into the Venezuelan highlands, the coastal lowlands, the Orinoco river basin and the Guyana highlands.
The border that is shared by Brazil and Venezuela is mainly mountainous. The Orinoco river originates from this region. The highland region of Venezuela is the most densely populated in the country. It is also the political and the commercial hub of the country. Among the other densely populated regions is the capital of Venezuela-Caracas, which is also considered to be one of the most important economic hubs of the country.
