Ingredients for Ponche Crema
The chief ingredients for preparing Ponche Crema are
- 2 tins of condensed milk
- 4 egg yellows
- 2 egg whites
- Vanilla
- 1liter or 750 ml of milk
- A pinch of moscada nut
- Lemon rinds
- 1 liter rum
Preparation of Ponche Crema
First the egg whites and then the yellows are beaten. To the mixture milk, condensed milk, lemon, vanilla and lastly rum are added very slowly and carefully. According to taste, the proportions of milk and rum can be altered. Those who want their Ponche Crema to be of a thick consistency can boil it by adding 2 spoons of maicena.
