They made their country proud by winning several gold medals for the country in different Olympics. The game of boxing in Uzbekistan is governed by the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation.
There are a number of boxers in Uzbekistan who represented their country in different Olympic Games. The record of Uzbekistan boxing in the Olympics and other places is pretty good. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, the country has done well in boxing. The country sent nine boxers in the 2004 Olympics. They all went past the round of 32 and managed five victories and four byes. They won a couple of bronze medals in the 54 kg and 81 kg categories. The boxers were Bahodirjon Sooltonov and Utkirbek Haydarov. The combined record of the nine boxers was good. They won 12 matches and lost 9.
The country also performed well in the other places that actually helped to count Uzbekistan among the better opponents in Asian boxing. The federation works hard to find out new talents and help them to grow up as a complete boxer.
