The state is the hub of many multinational companies; the headquarters of Citizens Financial Group, Fortune 500 companies CVS Caremark is located in Providence. the other companies that are based in the state are Amica Mutual Insurance, FM Global, GTECH Corporation, Hasbro, American Power Conversion, and Nortek.
Manufacturing is the third-largest industry with major manufactured products like fabricated metal products, costumes, electrical equipment, textiles, machinery, rubber, and plastic products. Agriculture is a significant part of the state economy and the major agricultural outputs include nursery stock, vegetables, dairy products, eggs and greenhouse items. The state also has a small commercial fishing industry; flounder, porgy, mollusks, yellow-fish, and shellfish are the major catches. The naval facilities at Newport add to the finances of the state. Tourism is also important.
