The U.S. state of Hawaii is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world because of its natural and diverse scenery, public beaches and active volcanoes. Hawaiian islands offer a variety of sights and destinations to explore. The state attracts about sesven million visitors every year. Hawaii is also important politically as it is the birth place of the forty-fourth US President Barack Obama.

Honolulu is the capital and also the largest city of Hawaii. The city is home to Waikiki Beach, the best known tourist destination in Hawaii. Honolulu also serves as the cultural, administrative, and commercial center of the state.

The picturesque scenery of the island state of Hawaii is an expression of nature at its best. The firey volcanoes, enchanting beaches, mountains, and clear waters give the state a paradisal touch.

Hawaii is world-renowned for its picturesque and varies beaches. Waikiki Beach is a beautiful beach located in Honolulu, the capital city of Hawaii. The beach provides a number of recreational opportunities like swimming, canoeing, surfing, and snorkeling.

Punaluu Black Sand Beach is another stunning beach frequented by endangered Green turtles and Hawksbill. Camping is allowed at the Punaluu Black Sand Beach Park.

The other major Hawaiian beaches include Anaehoomalu Beach, Hapuna Beach, Nonopapa Beach, Kalaoa Beach, Waiakalua Iki Beach, and the Laalao Beach.Hawaii has a rich history and the many living museums and historical places in the state tell a lot about the rich culture and history of the islands.

The museums display a range of artifacts and artwork from Hawaii’s past from the first Polynesian settlers to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

One of the most-visited museums in Hawaii is the Bailey House Museum. Also known as Old Bailey House, it is a museum of Hawaiian history. It was established in 1833 and is owned and operated by the Maui Historical Society. The house contains various exhibits including a portion of the David Dwight Baldwin land snail shell collection, a wooden statue of the Hawaiian demi-god, a model of Hokulea, and Pre-European contact artifacts such as utensils, tools, and weapons.

The other major museums include Kauai Museum, Damien Museum, Hawaii State Art Museum, Jaggar Museum, Pacific Tsunami Museum, USS Arizona Memorial, Wo Hing Museum, Pacific Aviation Museum, and the Mission Houses Museum.

Located on the bay front in Hilo, Mokupapapa: Discovery Center was opened in May 2003 as a center to interpret the natural science, culture, and history of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and nearby marine environment. The major attraction of the Center is the 2,500 gallon salt-water aquarium which provides habitat for some of the fishes from NWHI reefs.

Hawaii has a range of state parks, and wildlife sanctuaries that protect a great number of endangered species of animals and plants. Hanauma Bay State park, Kona Coast State Park, Lapakahi State Historical Park, and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park are some of the state parks in Hawaii.

Established in 1916, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is located on the island of Hawaii. It is home to Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the world’s most massive volcano. For the scientists, the park offers an insight into the evolution of Hawaiian Islands. Tourists can hava a great view of volcanic landscapes as well as glimpses of rare flora and fauna from the park. Approximately 1 million visitors visit the park annually. It was designated as an International Biosphere Reserve in 1980 and a World Heritage site in 1987.

Honolulu, Oahu is the destination for all flights from USA and around the world. With a range of places- from beaches, mountains, and wildlife sanctuaries to historical places and museums, Hawaii offers it all. It is indeed a flawless tourist destination.
