Yavapai Community College is located in Prescott, Arizona. The College was established in 1965 through a countrywide election, and the first classes took place there in 1969.

The Yavapai Community College has two campuses and three education centers offering 49 programs of study. The two campuses of the college are Verde Valley Campus and Prescott Campus. The Sedona Center for Arts and Technology, the Prescott Valley Center, and the Agribusiness and Science Technology Center in Chino Valley are the three centers of the college.

The College offers 70 certificate, degree and transfer options. The various academic divisions at the college are the Agribusiness Division, Business and Computer Science Division, Communications Division, Health and Physical Education Division, Liberal Arts Division, Nursing Division, Public Services Division, Science and Math Division, Visual and Performing Arts Division.

The average class size is 18 students. Yavapai College students who transfer to a university perform very well, ranking in the top 10% of all community college transfers.
