The West Campus is one of the six campuses of the Pima Community College. Infact, it is the oldest and the largest in the six-campus system. The West Campus was opened in 1970. Each semester around 11,000 students enroll into courses at the West Campus. The West Campus is surrounded by the Sonoran Desert, which features hiking trails and landscaped courtyards.
The programs offered at West Campus include health-related professional programs, visual and performing arts, creative writing and science programs. Transferable courses are offered in business, art, languages and science programs. The Center for Archeological Field Training is an important center at the West Campus. The Campus also has a primary-care health clinic that is operated by University Physicians healthcare and full-service dental hygiene clinic. The One-Stop Student Services Center offers testing, advising and counseling, registration and financial aid assistance. There’s also a library, a child development center and an Academic Computing Center. At the Center for Arts there’s the Louis Bernal Gallery, the Music Recital Hall and the Proscenium and Black Box Theaters.
At the West Campus, focus is on Center for the Arts and Health Related Professions. Associate Degrees are offered here.
