The Art Institute of Phoenix, established in 1995, culls may design, media arts, fashion, and culinary professionals. The Institute's first class of students began their studies in January, 1996. Initially the Institute had just 45 students, but has since grown to an enrollment of 1200. The Institute offers programs in advertising, baking and pastry, culinary arts, digital media production, fashion marketing, game art and design, graphic design, interactive media design, interior design, media arts, and animation. Programs are offered on a year-round basis. Degrees offered include Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Applied Sciences, among others. The Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
The Art Institute of Phoenix also offers extensive career planning services for graduating students. A staff of dedicated advisers is employed by the Career Services Department, and Student Employment Advisers help students find non-career related, part-time employment.
