The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is one of the three main universities of the University of Alaska System. The University of Alaska was founded in 1917 in Fairbanks, Alaska. The other two universities that are a part of the system are University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) and University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA).
The University of Alaska Fairbanks has seven campuses. UAF extends its services to all Alaskans through the College of Rural and Community Development.
