Ilisagvik College

Ilisagvik College is a public community college located in Barrow, Alaska that was established in 1986. This two-year community college offers quality post-secondary academic, vocational and technical education.

The college was accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities in 2002. Ilisagvik College is dedicated at perpetuating Inupiat (Eskimo) culture, language, values and traditions.

Ilisagvik College offers various degrees like the Associate of Arts Degree, Allied Health Program, Associate of Applied Science Degree and One Year Certificates. The Associate of Arts Degree programs include General Transfer Degree, Human Service Technology and Inupiaq Studies. Associate of Applied Science Degree programs include Associated Construction Trades, Applied Business and Management, Accounting Specialist, Information Technology Technician and Process Technology. One Year Certificate Programs include Accounting Technician II, Administrative Assistant, Carpentry and Plumbing, Plumbing and Electrical, Information Technology Assistant and Science Technician Training Certificate.

The Tuzzy Consortium Library serves as the college’s library. The Ilisagvik College campus is situated at the United States Naval Arctic Research Laboratory (NARL).
