University of Mobile was founded in 1961. It was initially chartered as Mobile College. Decades later in 1993, it changed it's name to University of Mobile.
This reputed University is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. It serves around 2,000 students from over 23 states and 14 nations. The University is committed to integrating Christian faith and learning. University of Mobile is located on an 800-acre campus, 10 minutes north of historic downtown Mobile.
The various colleges at the University of Mobile are College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Nursing and Center of Adult Programs.
College of Arts and Sciences has the Center for Performing Arts that offers a number of degrees. A number of courses are also offered in Visual Arts, Humanities, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Social and Behavioral Sciences. The School of Business offers courses in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems and Communication. School of Christian Studies offers courses in Christian Studies Majors/ Minors, Worship Leadership Degree and Master of Arts Program. School of Education provides courses in Human Performance and Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and Secondary Education. School of Nursing provides Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor Degree in Nursing. The courses offered for Graduate Studies are Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Religious Studies and Master of Science in Nursing.
