The United States Sports Academy is an independent, non-profit sports institute that provides programs in instruction, research and service.
The Academy is located in Daphne, Alabama on the shore of Mobile Bay. The Academy has been providing programs in instruction, research and service. It started as a free-standing school of sport granting sport degrees at the master's level. The Academy started granting a doctoral program in sports management in 1990.
United States Sports Academy has contributed immensely in the development of an International Association of Sports Academies (IASA) and an International Coaches Association. The Academy is accredited by a body called the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers Doctoral Degree, Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree. The Doctor of Sports Management degree consists of 60 semester hours. All doctoral courses of the academy are available online. The Master of Sport Science degrees offered here are in sports coaching, sports management and sport studies. An upper-level Bachelor of Sports Science degree is offered in sports coaching, sports management and sports studies.
United States Sports Academy brings out two publications called 'The Sport Journal' and 'The Sport Supplement'. The partners of the academy are American Council on Exercise, Dartfish, Intercollege of Cyprus, NACDA, National Strength and Conditioning Association, NHSCA, MBA - Sports Management and Women's Sports Services.
