Spring Hill College, Mobile's first Catholic College in the Southeast. It was founded by the first bishop of Mobile, Michael Portier. It is located at the southern end of I-65.
The college is the third oldest Jesuit College in the country. It is a four-year, co-educational, liberal arts and sciences institution spread across 450 acres and 23 buildings. Many of these buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. 70% of Spring Hill’s students are from outside Alabama.
After successful completion of the academic program in the Department of Business, students earn the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in either Accounting, General Management, or Marketing.
The Education Department offers Teacher Education Program, Department of Education, Department of Health and Physical Education, and NCATE. Other special programs at the Stillman College, Tuscaloosa are Honors College, Night School, Stillman Academy, and the Teacher Education Program.
