The Southern Union State Community College is a public, two-year college located in Wadley, Alabama. The college offers academic, technical and health science programs to
the east-central Alabama region. The college has branch campuses in Opelika, Valley and Wadley. Southern Union Instructional Division is composed of three distinct divisions: Academic, Technical and Health Sciences. A Dean heads each division.
The Academic Division at the Southern Union State Community College offers courses in departments of language and Fine Arts, Mathematics, Social Sciences and Sciences. Academic courses are taught at all three Southern Union Campuses during mornings, afternoons and evenings. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits Southern Union State Community College.
