Southeastern Bible College, Birmingham is committed to producing students who evidence a practical knowledge of the Bible and doctrine. The college was established by a group of Christian men who wanted to develop a Bible school in Birmingham.
The college started offering classes in 1935. Initially, the school was organized and incorporated as the Birmingham School of the Bible. Later, in 1943, the school's name was officially changed to Southeastern Bible School.
The various departments at the Southeastern Bible College are Department of Biblical Studies, Department of Education and Department of Arts and Sciences. Southeastern Bible College offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology through four-year programs at the three departments. The Department of Education also offers a major in Elementary Education. Students who graduate from Southeastern Bible College with a four-year degree can go for Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Bible Specialist certification for the K-12 classroom. This college also offers other degrees such as a two-year Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies, a degree completion program in Biblical Studies and a one-year Diploma in Biblical Studies.
