Northwest Shoals Community College is a comprehensive two-year public institution of higher education. The college has two campuses, one at Shoals and one at Phil Campbell.
The Shoals campus was started in 1966 as Joe Wheeler State Trade School. The merger of Northwest Alabama and Shoals Community College formed the modern Northwest-Shoals College on September 9, 1993. Students at Muscle Shoals (main campus) comprise of single parents, retirees, men and women and students. The college is an Associate's College that offers Associate's Degree and Certificate programs.
The total undergraduate enrollment at the college is 3,826. Northwest-Shoals is the best start for your future years. Eligible students may receive Pell Grants and other federal aid (e.g. Direct Loans). The various degree programs offered at the college are that of Accounting Technician, Auto/Automotive Body Repairer, Child Care and Guidance Workers and Management etc.
