Lurleen B. Wallace Community College was formed by consolidating Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and MacArthur State Technical College. One campus of the college is located in Opp. The other two campuses are located in Andalusia and Greenville.
The campus in Opp is called the MacArthur Campus.
Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, Opp is comprised of approximately 100 acres. The MacArthur Campus joins the Opp City/ Cross Trials Regional Library and includes a new walking trail. The three campuses of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College serve the populations of Butler, Covington, Crenshaw, Coffee, and Geneva Counties.
Students may also enroll in distance education courses as a means of achieving educational goals. Lurleen B. Wallace Community College offers distance education courses in four different formats. These formats are on-line, hybrid, telecourse, and CD/DVD. The various courses available for distance learning are Principles of Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology I, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, General Microbiology, English composition I, English Composition II, English Literature I, Ethics, General Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.
