Baptists in Marion, Alabama, founded Judson College in 1838. Judson College was established to educate young omen in a Christian environment. It is the nation's fifth oldest women's college.
The campus of the college is located on 80 acres in Marion, Alabama. The College offers a challenging liberal arts curriculum. Judson College offers 16 majors, 25 minors and pre-professional programs. The Pre-Professional Programs offered at the college are Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Engineering, Pre-Law, Pre-Medical Technology, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Nursing, Pre-Pharmacy, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Seminary and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. For Secondary education, there is General Science education, Language Arts Education, Mathematics Education and Social Science Education. Art, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Church Music, Journalism, Modern foreign Languages, Pshycology, religious Studies etc.

Judson College provides students with opportunities to participate in foreign study programs through the American Institute of Foreign Study, Capstone International Studies Program, Cooperative Services International Education Consortium, and the Scandinavian Seminar and University of Oslo and University of London.
