Jefferson State Community College is one of Alabama's leading two-year colleges. This reputed college was founded in 1965. Here the students can enroll in more than 120 university
transfer programs, 20 career programs and numerous certificate programs. The College has a comprehensive approach to workforce training through a number of credit and non-credit programs. The College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and schools for awarding the Associate Degree.
Jefferson State Community College has dedicatedly provided education and workforce training for the greater Birmingham area for almost 140 years. The various campuses of the College are at Jefferson Campus (Center Point on Carson Road), Shelby Campus (North Shelby County on Valleydale Road), St. Clair Center (Moody Alabama) and Pell City Center. Students can also enroll in distance learning programs. Career Programs include Community Education, Health and Biological Sciences, Fire Science and Transfer and General Studies.
