Jefferson Davis Community College

Jefferson Davis Community College is located in Brewton, Alabama. The College has been named in the honor of Jefferson Davis, the first and only president of the Confederate States of America. The College has two campuses in Atmore and Brewton.

The college has many student organizations such as the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. The honors program at the college is extremely active. The college awards upto 30 scholarships per year. The students get to travel for the students' cultural enrichment with trips to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and the New Orleans Saenger Theatre.

The various instructional programs offered here are academic transfer, technical and vocational programs, development education and adult education, GED classes, continuing education for personal enrichment, and training for business and industry etc. Classes are offered at both the Atmore and Brewton Campuses. Day, night, weekend, distance learning and the Internet, Interactive Intercampus Telecommunication System (IITS) are the various options.
