Alabama Agricultural And Mechanical University

The Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University is an institution that provides baccalaureate and graduate studies. It functions in the three-fold function of teaching, research and public service.

AAMU is located in Normal, Madison County, Alabama. The University was established under the terms of the Morrill Act of 1890. Alabama A&M University is also the licensee for National Public Radio whose affiliate station AJAB-FM 90.9. In 2002, an interactive Distance Learning Auditorium, conference, study and classrooms, lounges and computer labs were added. The School of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Alabama A & M University offers diverse programs, many of which are not traditionally associated with agriculture or family and consumer sciences
