The United States presidential election in Delaware that took place on November 2, 2004 were won by the Democrats. It was a close contest as the Democrat nominee John Kerry swept the state by a 7.6% margin of victory. The state has voted Democrat every presidential election since 1992.

The 2008 United States presidential elections in Delaware were also won by the Democratic Party, as the map indicates. Given that Delaware is home to Joe Biden, the Democratic Senator running for the office in the state, the victory of the Democrats was inevitable. Also, the Democrats outnumber Republicans in the state by almost 100,000 voters. The Democrat nominee Barack Obama won all the three electoral votes in the state and earned 255,394 citizen votes.

New Castle fetched the maximum votes for the winning party, while the Kent County earned the least votes.
