The
museums of Iowa are situated in different towns such as Blakesburg, Elk Horn, Fort Dodge, Missouri Valley, Davenport, Cherokee, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Decorah, Sioux City and Iowa City.
The Iowa Museums Map points out the geographical location of all these towns. The Terrace Hill museum of Iowa, which is the official home of the Governor, was built in 1869 and represents the elegant Victorian architecture along with paintings, crystal chandeliers and stained glass windows. The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art is another enticing site of Iowa which boasts of around 5600 creative collections including the works of Mauricio Lasansky, Marvin D Cone and Grant Wood.
