Passion for social welfare and community service led to the winning of Lauren Lanning who crowned the title of Miss Texas USA 2006 at the Laredo Entertainment Center Sunday night.

The theme of the event was Laredos 250th anniversary where the final pageant resembled a Broadway style production.
