According to the Riverside County map the county is located in southern California. It stretches from Colorado River to the Orange County. The county gets its name from the city of the same name.

Riverside County is a part of the Inland Empire along with San Bernardino County. It has an estimated population of 2,189,641. As is evident from the Riverside County map, the eastern and central parts of the county are desert. It has been bordered by Orange County in west, Imperial County and San Diego County in south and San Bernardino County in north.

Riverside

Riverside has been named as such for its location along the Santa Ana River. It is the biggest city of the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario metropolitan area in Southern California. It is the fourth biggest inland city in California and is situated almost 60 miles to the east of Los Angeles.

Banning

Banning has an approximate population of 23,562 and is situated in the San Gorgonio Pass, which is also referred to as the Banning Pass. Banning and its western neighbor Beaumont share regional and geographic features. Both the cities are almost 80 miles to the east of downtown Los Angeles.

Calimesa

The estimated population of Calimesa is 7,498 and it is located on the San Gorgonio Pass. The Riverside County Map shows that it is situated in the northwestern part of the county between Beaumont and Yucaipa. It is in the foothills of San Bernardino Mountains. As per the United States Census Bureau it has an aggregate area of 15.6 sqaure miles.

Desert Hot Springs

Desert Hot Springs is located in the Coachella Valley region and is also known as the Desert Empire. It has an estimated population of 16,582. As per the United States Census Bureau the aggregate area of the city is 23.3 sqaure miles. It is a major name in the local tourism industry because of the abundance of spas.

Eastvale

Eastvale is situated in the northwestern part of Riverside County in southern California. The Los Angeles County line is almost 8 miles to the northwest of the city and the Orange County is almost 5 miles to the southwest.
