The New Hampshire Institute of Art was set up in 1898 as the Manchester Institute of Arts and Sciences. Located in the Victory Park National Historic District of New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Institute of Art imparts a diversified education in Fine Arts, Photography, Ceramics and the Liberal Arts. Students are guided by a dedicated and experienced faculty who have excelled in their respective fields. The New Hampshire Institute of Art recruits established practicing artists, published writers, working designers and distinguished liberal arts personalities.
Students are encouraged to explore their creativity in a nurturing environment. The New Hampshire Institute of Art imparts technical education along with a over all development of critical reasoning, analytical and intellectual abilities.
The New Hampshire Institute of Art campus has four major academic buildings and three student housing dormitories. All Institute academic buildings are accessible by wheelchair and provide disability- friendly amenities to handicapped students. Students can also avail extended studio timings for completing projects while in campus housing.
Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, the well known New Hampshire Institute offers students Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Programs with intensive courses on Ceramics, Illustration, Painting, Photography and other arts. The New Hampshire Institute of Art is also a major center of Continuing Education for professionals. Students are also offered a liberal arts education at the New Hampshire Institute of Art , comprising programs like Writing for Art and the Artist, Survey Art History, Art History, English Literature, History , Humanities, Science, Social Science and Philosophy.
