Illinois Institute of Art

The Illinois Institute of Art , located in Chicago, is quite an intrinsic and old part of the art institutes dotting the educational map across the US.

Illinois boasts of yet another art institute located in the Schaumburg area. "The Backstage Bistro" a student-run restaurant within the campus is quite popular.

Established in 1916, the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago was one of the first art and design colleges to be found in the US, and its reputation increased tenfold in the 1930's. This college which started its journey as an independent institution was included within the body of the art schools as late as 1995. Of late the college has also started to expand its campus area and with passing years student enrollment in the college is also increasing. This art institute has been affiliated to the Higher Learning Commission and has also been included within the forum of the North Central Association.
