The Institute of Contemporary Art Boston
Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art is housed in a modern 65,000 square foot multi-level glass building. Displaying the best of contemporary art, the museum has several interesting exhibits. The Mediatheque is an amphitheater every seat featuring a computer station where visitors can have an interactive session about art. The Barbara Lee Family Foundation Theater has a splendid mahogany stage the audience in each of its 325 seats are treated to a spectacular view of the Boston Harbor and the city skyline and harbor. The Founders Gallery hangs twenty-five feet over the Boston harbor and offers breathtaking views. It acts as the connector between the two main galleries of the institute. The East Gallery contains the permanent exhibition featuring photographs and artworks by contemporary artists. The West Gallery houses a futuristic exhibit called the Super Vision which encompasses the work of twenty-seven modern artists.
