Rioplatense Spanish

Rioplatense Spanish is basically a dialect that is incorporated in the Spanish language and is spoken at Uruguay. The language Rioplatense Spanish is standard in the audio visual media of Uruguay along with another South American country, Argentina.

The language Rioplatense Spanish is mainly based in the cities of Rosario, Buenos Aires and Montevideo. To the north eastern side of the country of Uruguay the language of Portunol is spoken by the majority of the people.

The Spanish people brought this particular language to Uruguay during the colonization period. Most of the residents of the country of Uruguay belong to the descendants of Europe and the majority of the people are inclusive of the Spanish and Italian descent.

The language Rioplatense Spanish differentiates itself from the other Spanish dialects by the pronunciation of certain specific consonants. Research works has revealed that Rioplatense Spanish has accent patterns that resemble those of Italian dialects. In the spoken language the future tense in the language of Rioplatense Spanish has been replaced by periphrasis which is a verbal phrase.
