United Arab Emirates Languages



Arabic is one of the most important United Arab Emirates Languages. But Hindi,Pashto,Persian and Balochi are also spoken in some parts of the country. Many people speak English too in United Arab Emirates.

Modern Standard Arabic is compulsory in most of the schools in United Arab Emirates and the natives speak Gulf Arabic. Gulf Arabic language is similar to the way spoken in other countries.

Arabic language is widely spoken by the citizens of United Arab Emirates. The language of Arabic originated from the Nabataean Aramaic script and since then it has been practice. The Arabic language had more number of consonants than the Aramaic language and for this reason new Arabic letters were introduced by including dots to the letters of the language. This resulted in the omission of ambiguities in the language. Diacritis, which represented short vowels were developed.

Written Arabic language in United Arab Emirate is generally of two types. Classical and Modern Standard Arabic language are the two types of Arabic language. Quran is written in Classical Arab language and is totally different from Modern Standard Arabic language. The Modern Standard Arabic language is the Universal language of United Arab Emirates.

Gulf Arabic is also one of the dialects spoken by the natives of the United Arab Emirates. This language of United Arab Emirates is used as a mother language.
