The Higher Colleges of Technology in UAE were established in 1988 with four colleges. At present the campuses of Higher Colleges of Technology or HCT are situated in cities such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Sharjah.
Both the women's and men's Colleges offer diverse range of programs, which are imparted in extremely technologically equipped and modern campuses. The Higher Colleges of Technology have succeeded in achieving the highest standards of learning and teaching. Each and every college of HCT
has its own set of courses and programs, which are designed in accordance with the needs of its students.
The programs of Higher Colleges of Technology are very popular among students. More than 80 programs are offered in English. Some of them are Education, Business, Engineering Technology, Communication Technology, Health Sciences and Information Technology. The courses are planned in such a manner that students can learn skills which are specifically job-relevant.
It is a must for all the students of Higher Colleges of Technology to go through a certain period of work placement. After that they become graduates under the Certificate, Higher Diploma, Diploma or Bachelor Degree program.
