Uganda airport are many in number. Uganda has a number of airports as a major part of the transportation system of this country. There are many
airports in Uganda in several of its important cities around the country. There are some airports that have their runways paved and there are some other airports which do not enjoy the privilege of having a paved runway. There are two heliports also in Uganda.
There are twenty six
Uganda airports in total. Among these airports four have paved runways and the rest twenty two airports do not have their runways paved. There is one international airport in this East African country. This international airport is the
Entebbe International Airport. There are some other airports also in Uganda.
Airports In Uganda:
- Entebbe International Airport: This is the only international airport of Uganda. This airport has a paved runway and is used for civilian purposes. It has a 12000 ft runway.
- Arua Airport: This airport is situated in the Arua city in Uganda. This is also a civil airport. This airport does not have a paved runway. The length of the runways of this airport is 5600 ft.
- Gulu Airport: Gulu airport is one of the four airports in Uganda that has a paved runway. This airport is used in the civil use purposes and is located in the Gulu city on Uganda. The runway here is 10200 ft long.
- Soroti Airport: Soroti airport is one of the airports in Uganda that has paved runways. It is situated in the Soroti city of this East African country. Its runway length is 6100 ft and is used in the civil purposes.
There are many other
airports in Uganda and all of them serve a very important role in the transportation system in Uganda.
