Air Uganda consists of a number of airlines that are based in this country. Uganda has a number of airlines that offer several flights to and from Uganda. All these airlines, that serve a very important role in the transportations system pf this country, can be called together the air Uganda. Air Uganda, therefore comprise of the Victoria International Airways, Eagle Air, Uganda Air Cargo and many more.
Eagle Air, which is an important part of the air Uganda, is an airline that has its base in the international airport of this country, the Entebbe International Airport. This airline offers several flights that are domestic and also international. The domestic flights that this airline offers have their destinations to Arua, Gulu, Moyo, Pakuba and some other destinations. The countries to which this airline gives flights are, Tanzania, Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya and many other African countries. Eagle Air started operating in Uganda from the year 1994. The Managing Director and the Chairman of this airline in Uganda are, Tony Rubombora and Charles Muthama respectively.
Another important airline of this country is the Victoria International Airways. This is also a part of the air Uganda. This airline is modernized keeping the vision to make it the national airline of Uganda. Victoria International Airways or VIA will operate from the Entebbe International Airport of Uganda. In this airline the government of Uganda has a share of 25%. This airline will start with regional flights in a number of destinations within the country and then eventually it will have scheduled flights to neighboring countries as well.
