News of Uganda includes the country's involvement in DR Congo's civil war (1998-2003) and massacres and chaos created by Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) which killed thousands of people and made hundreds homeless. The conflicts ended in 2006 with the LRA signing a peace treaty with the government. Long term campaigns against HIV/AIDS that have earned Uganda global appreciation also falls under Uganda news.
