Uganda news and media consists of the various media channels that provide news to the people of Uganda. These include print and electronic media. There are a number of newspaper dailies, radio channels and television channels in Uganda. The newspapers are circulated by media houses and newspaper offices while radio and television both are under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Uganda.
Print media forms one of the oldest and most significant part of Uganda news and media. New Vision Uganda has a circulation of around 40,000 and it publishes in English. Its circulation is restricted to Kampala. Two other major newspapers in Uganda are the Monitor and Munno (both in Kampala). Apart
from these there are other regional and local newspapers in Uganda that provide news in Uganda.
Uganda Radio channels along with T.V channels make up the electronic aspects of media and news in Uganda. These channels broadcast in various languages including English for the convenience of the natives of the country, the elite of Uganda and foreigners. Websites too have emerged as a new channel of news and media of Uganda.
