Uganda Society is a typical representation of the
Uganda culture and it has it's own traditions and follows a strategy for itself. The population density of the Uganda Society was higher in comparison to the other African countries and it is calculated to be fifty three per square kilometer nationwide. Usually
the society of Uganda faced lot of discrimination on the basis of ethnicity but the government later opposed this process. Ugandans had always taken great pride in their family histories and government officials. Most of the African labors were taken from the Uganda and they were forced to serve the British colonies and nations.
The
Uganda society had discrimination based on the gender, age and it highly influenced the social economy of the nation. Women were always taught to abide the rules and follow the wishes of their fathers, brothers, husbands and often other men. The 1980s even witnessed that the women of Buganda
use to kneel down while speaking to the men. However the women hold all the responsibilities ranging from childcare to cultivation but the male was always the dominant member of the
Uganda society.
Polygynous marriage is a common practice in the society of Uganda. Various civil wars had made a serious impact on the infrastructure of the
Uganda society and million of children were orphaned in this process. The Uganda children lack proper food, shelter, medication facilities and were infected with various life threating diseases like HIV/AIDS.
The
Uganda Law Society is an organization and was founded in 1923 and in those days the society consisted of seventy members and they all depended on Entebbe. Initially the
Uganda society held several lectures related to the scientific , historical , economical and the religious interest and that was in full swing for 5 years. Later on the society collapsed and in 1928 and it is believed that the organizers scattered as they engaged in some different activities parallely. The original founder of the Uganda Society was E.J. Wayland and subsequently he managed to preserve the society assets for future benefits..The fruitful work of the
Uganda Society made it the very part of the
Uganda Culture.
For all this the pitfall of
Uganda Society was seen largely but with the constant effort of several government and non-government organizations the Uganda society has revived it's forms in the recent years.
