Uganda Schools



Uganda Schools includes many schools like Green Hill Academy, Bethany High School, Mackay College Uganda, etc. Uganda Schools are the centers of learning that are aimed at providing quality education to its students.

In Uganda Schools the period of primary education is seven years, the period of lower secondary education is four years and the period of upper secondary education is two years. The period of University studies is three to five years.

Only 40 % graduates of primary school takes admission for secondary education.

    Among Uganda Schools Gazana High School in Uganda is a leading secondary school for girls. Ntare School Uganda is a boarding secondary school for boys. This school which is one of the best schools in Uganda is situated in Mbarara District. Bethany High School in Uganda is a combined Day and Boarding School. Both Arts and Science subjects are offered by this school.

    Busoga College Mwiri and Mengo Senior School are the oldest Schools of Uganda. Busoga College Mwiri is situated on a high hill near Lake Victoria and Nile River. Mengo Senior School which was established in the year1905 is located at Kampala.

    During the year 1989 more than 2.5 million children were recruited in the primary schools of Uganda. Among 2.5 million children 45 % were female. 265,000 students were recruited in the secondary school of Uganda during the year 1989.
    In Uganda Schools the system of study is improving.
