Religion estimated that 66 percent or the majority of the population were Christians and that was the equal combination of Protestants and Roman Catholics. About 15 percent followed Islam and 19 percent of the masses were the followers of indigenous religions and some of them even denied any religion affiliation. Among the Christians of Uganda the other denominations included Seventh-day Adventists, Greek Orthodoxy, Jehovah's Witnesses, Latter day saints, Presbyterians and Baptists.
Religion in Uganda consists of one-tenth Muslims among the whole population and they are the followers of Islam. Islam was the first to arrive among other
Uganda religion and it became quite significant during 1970s.Christianity arrived at the colonial period and they aroused the missionary activities in the country. Rest of the races in Uganda and other parts of Africa are the combination of Islam, Christianity and other indigenous religions.
The religious identity of Uganda has both economic and political implications as the membership of church provides opportunities like education, employment and also social advancement and in turn enhances the
