Uganda Capital

The Uganda capital is Kampala and it is also one of the largest cities of this country. The geographic location is also very special as it is located by the greatest lake of Africa, Lake Victoria. The geographic coordinates of Kampala are 0o19'North latitude and 32o25'East longitude. The city is of high significance since the historical times. The city of Kampala was destructed and constructed twice. In spite of such turbulent history the Uganda capital has retained its significance. Apart from being the political hub of the country, this city also has one of the most important universities of the country.

The most significant thing of the geography of Kampala is that the city is established on seven hills. All the seven hills have some of the important buildings of the city. The smallest hill among the seven hills known as Impala is responsible for the name of the capital of Uganda. The presence of headquarter of the East African Development Bank in the city of Kampala makes it more significant. Some of the important edifices in the city of Kampala are Kasubi Tombs, Kibuli mosque, Rubaga Catholic Cathedral, Uaganda Museum and Lugard's Fort. Some of the other places of attractions which are present in the city are Ugandan National Theatre, Bahai Houses of Worship and Ssezibwa falls. The other thing which this uganda capital city is famous for is the vibrant and colorful nightlife which is further spiced up by the presence of casinos. Makerere University is the prized possession of the country of Uganda and is present here.
