Turkey is emerging in recent times as a growing economy. Turkey World Bank aims at providing assistance to Turkey in the economic sphere and help in its economic growth and development. The main function of Turkey World Bank is to assist the government in its economic projects.
The government had started an economic reform program to deal with rising inflation and to reestablish sustained economic growth. The program envisaged macroeconomic stability and growth, modernization of institutions, reduce economic vulnerability and deal with poverty. The Turkey World Bank is assisting the government in achieving all the above mentioned objectives and policies of the Turkish Government.
To overcome the economically crisis situations in late 2000 and early 2001 the government came up with a new program far more intense and deeper than the previous one. The emphasis was on public sector reform, building a strong banking sector, liberalization of banks for the development of private sector.
The Turkey World Bank is assisting the Turkish government in dealing with economic crisis, setting the country on the road of economic growth and development and raising the living standards of the people. It is also supporting the government of Turkey in its new program in terms of finance, policy advice and technological support.
